Ask us what personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. One email is all it takes — no account, no form to fill in.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and comparable laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states, you have the following rights. Any of them can be requested by email — see How to Ask below.
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| Know | What personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we have it, and who we shared it with. |
| Delete | Have your personal information deleted, subject to legal exceptions such as records we must keep for tax purposes. |
| Correct | Have inaccurate personal information corrected. |
| Opt out | Stop any sharing that could qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA. |
| Limit | Restrict how we use sensitive personal information. |
You do not have to be a California resident to ask. We handle requests from anywhere, though the legal obligations we are under vary by where you live.
If you only want to opt out of sale or sharing, the shorter Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information form does exactly that.
Email privacy@elevexmedia.com with the subject line "California Privacy Rights Request".
There is no form to fill in. So we can find your records and act on the request without a round of clarifying questions, include:
Before we hand over or delete personal information, we have to be reasonably sure the request comes from the right person — otherwise the process itself becomes a way to steal data.
In most cases we confirm the email address associated with your record. For a request covering sensitive information, or where the record is not clearly tied to one email, we may ask for one or two additional details that match what we already hold. We will not ask you to send identity documents, and we never ask for a password.
If we cannot verify you, we will tell you why rather than simply refusing.
Opt-out requests are different: we action those within 15 business days, and we honour Global Privacy Control browser signals automatically.
Some information we cannot delete even if you ask, because the law requires us to keep it — most commonly financial records, which we retain for seven years under IRS rules. If part of your request cannot be met, we will tell you which part and why, and complete the rest.
Retention periods for each category are set out in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
Exercising these rights costs you nothing and changes nothing about the price or quality of anything we provide. That applies whether you are a client, a former client, or someone who has only ever visited the site.
